# Devnet testing Try the complete workflow using test funds before production REUSE payments. Status: In testing. Reviewed: 2026-10-09. ## What is Devnet? Solana Devnet is the application testing network. Its SOL and test tokens are separate from mainnet funds and have no real monetary value. The separately named Testnet is primarily used for validator and network testing. Reusable’s current goal is to verify seller publication, a different buyer’s payment, the correct unlock and use in an agent. Local tests do not replace that real Devnet round trip. [Solana network documentation](https://solana.com/docs/references/clusters) ## Fund your test wallets Use distinct seller and buyer accounts. Select Devnet in your wallet where supported, then request test SOL from the official faucet using each public address. For initial testing, 1 Devnet SOL per account is a practical starting amount; faucet availability and limits can vary. Wallet transaction fees are paid in SOL even when the purchase uses a test token. Only public addresses are needed for faucet funding. The deployed temporary test policy uses no platform fee, pays the seller all purchase proceeds, and maps 1 proposed REUSE to 0.00001 Devnet SOL, with a maximum 0.1 SOL per test. Network fees are separate. The selected purchase was 0.001 Devnet SOL, followed by a protected download and approved Codex use. A test-REUSE mint is a separate Devnet token used to exercise token payments; its mint address identifies the token and its decimals define the precision. The real test-token purchase remains deferred. Test fees, recipients and price conversions must be clearly labelled and configurable. They do not establish production fees or REUSE’s real value. Production tokenomics and burning decisions are deferred. ## Before mainnet After the real token launch, verify its mint, token program and decimals, configure production checkout and perform the separately approved mainnet release checks. The final payment option is intended to be REUSE on Solana. Removing SOL as a purchase option does not remove SOL network fees.
